Mike Valdés-Fauli, Co-Chair
Mike Valdés-Fauli is President of The Jeffrey Group, one of the country’s largest Latin communications firms. At 32 years old, he runs an agency with over 100 employees across five offices in four countries. The agency currently works with some of the world’s largest companies and best-known brands, including American Airlines, Diageo, Johnnie Walker, Jose Cuervo, Fox Hispanic Media, T-Mobile, UnitedHealth Group and Volkswagen. Jorge A. Plasencia, Co-Chair
Jorge is chairman and CEO of República, one of America’s fastest growing advertising, digital and communications companies. Angela is partner of Latina Mom Bloggers, co-publisher of the Hispanic PR Blog and an award-winning, public relations professional with more than 12 years of experience in general market and Hispanic public relations and marketing, strategic consulting and event management. Most recently she was named 2011 PR Professional of the Year by the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA), for her work in advancing the industry as co-publisher of the Hispanic PR Blog and as an organizer of Hispanicize, the annual event that spotlights Latino social media, marketing and innovation. She has directed national Hispanic marketing initiatives for: The American Heart Association’s Go Red Por Tu Corazón, Unilever, Kraft Foods, Burger King, and AstraZeneca among others. Angela leverages her expertise to provide strategic counsel and develop comprehensive communications programs that tap into the power of blogger engagement and social media. |

Katherine Johnson (@Katjohn) Organizer/Partner
Katherine is partner of Hispanicize and a co-organizer of the event. She oversees all logistics, speaker relations and the execution and delivery of client projects. Prior to joining Hispanicize, Katherine held positions with Fleishman-Hillard as an account executive, at Newlink Group working with LATAM clients and was previously a producer for the PBS show, Nightly Business Report. Katherine’s passion for community building, storytelling and the Latino culture drives her innovative approach to social networking both on and offline. |

Roman Morales – Film Showcase Organizer/Film Curator
Roman oversees the newest addition to the Hispanicize 2012 conference, the Hispanicize Latino Film Showcase. A filmmaker from Austin, Texas, and a producer on the award winning documentary Split Decision (2000), Roman has been a part of the Austin film community since 1995. Having worked in film and television as consultant and technical advisor for 15 years, he is extremely excited to now be a part of the Hispanicize organization.
